Privacy Policy
Last updated September 7, 2026
DCLS Global ("DCLS," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.
This policy covers dclsglobal.com and related DCLS marketing pages. It does not cover information DCLS processes on behalf of its clients when delivering interpretation, translation, localization, transcription, consulting, or technology services under a separate contract; that information is handled according to the applicable client agreement.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide. When you complete the contact form or otherwise reach out, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company, job title, the nature of your inquiry, and anything else you choose to include in your message.
- Job applicant information. If you apply for a role through our careers pages, we collect additional information — see "Job applicants" below.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our servers and analytics tools may record your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and the dates and times of your visits.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand usage. See "Cookies and analytics" below.
- Information from third parties. We may receive information from analytics, security, and marketing providers, and from publicly available sources, to help us understand and improve our outreach.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and route them to the right DCLS team;
- Evaluate your candidacy if you apply for a role with DCLS and communicate with you about that application;
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the website;
- Communicate with you about DCLS services, proposals, and updates you have asked for;
- Analyze site usage and measure the effectiveness of our content;
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Legal bases for processing
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent; the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering a contract; our legitimate interests in operating and promoting our business (balanced against your rights); and compliance with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as follows:
- Service providers. We use vendors to run the site, our outreach, and our hiring process, including customer-relationship management and recruiting, website hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, analytics providers, and background checks. They may process information only on our instructions.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights, safety, and property of DCLS or others, and enforce our terms.
- Business transfers. If DCLS is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your direction. We share information when you ask us to or otherwise consent.
Job applicants
If you apply for a role through our careers pages, we collect, beyond what is described above: your mailing address; resume and, if provided, a cover letter; employment history, education, and years of experience; your responses to screening questions, including work authorization, visa sponsorship needs, willingness to complete a background check, desired start date, and desired compensation; and how you heard about the role.
We also invite you to voluntarily self-identify your gender, race/ethnicity, veteran status, and disability status. Providing this information is optional and has no effect on your candidacy. This information is collected for equal employment opportunity and, where applicable, compliance with federal or other applicable legal requirements. It will be kept confidential and separate from information used in making hiring or other employment decisions and will be accessed only by individuals with a legitimate business or compliance need to use it.
We use applicant information to evaluate your candidacy, communicate with you about your application, and comply with employment-related legal obligations. We share it with DCLS staff involved in hiring for the role and with the service providers listed above. We retain applicant records for one year from the hiring decision, consistent with federal EEOC recordkeeping requirements, unless a longer period is required by law or you ask us to delete your information sooner.
Cookies and analytics
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function. We also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before placing or using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to respond to your inquiry and maintain business records, and then for the period required or permitted by law. Contact-form submissions are retained in our CRM according to our internal records-retention schedule. Job-applicant records are retained as described in the "Job applicants" section above.
Data security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to receive a copy in a portable format, to opt out of certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of "sales" and "sharing" (DCLS does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International data transfers
DCLS operates globally, and information may be processed in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
The site links to third-party websites and services, including our own client and vendor portals hosted elsewhere. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; review their policies before providing information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
