The challenge
The SBA ran business seminars and outreach events for entrepreneurs across the country — some in person, many virtual. Each one needed technical infrastructure, budgeting discipline, and participant coordination to run cleanly.
Separately, the agency needed translation, interpretation, and transcription to reach small businesses in every community it served.
The solution
For SBA business-seminar events, DCLS arranged the IT infrastructure for virtual delivery — selecting and configuring platforms such as Hopin, Remo, and Zoom to the format of each event, with the connectivity, backup, and technical support to run them without disruption. DCLS also handled budgeting and resource management — tracking expenses, managing the event lifecycle — and coordinated participants end to end.
On the language side, the SBA awarded DCLS a Blanket Purchase Agreement for translation, interpretation, and transcription in support of agency outreach and program activities across all 50 states and U.S. territories.
The results
- Virtual and in-person SBA seminar events delivered with managed IT infrastructure, budgeting, and coordination.
- A nationwide Blanket Purchase Agreement for language services for SBA offices and partners to engage DCLS.
